Of course I am not really that important here. I am just an intern here, but it a paid internship and I can do it while I am going to school. Mostly I am the errand boy and my job seems to change with the time of the day and the calendar. I am going out a trunk full of promotional gifts today, delivering them to one of our clients for the sales manager. This is an advertising firm and that is one of the things we do. We do not make the stuff that you put your company name and logo on, but we get a really good deal on that stuff because we are buying truckloads of it. Right now we have more of it than we can manage with the space that we have on hand and they do not have a really delivery guy, that is what I am here for when it is needed. So I am filling up my car with as much stuff as I can fit in it and delivering it to different places.
Of course they have to pay me for my gas and they give me a mileage thing. It is like 14 cents for every mile that I drive on the job and it actually adds up on weeks like this, because I have been driving several hours per day lately. The mileage is not something that matters a lot, but of course you only have so many miles in a car and mine is not going to last forever. It is sort of funny, because I had been thinking about selling it before I got this job. For the most part it just sat out in front of my apartment and did nothing, because it is hard to find a parking spot on campus.Keep Reading My Article
